Fear and Cowardice

Many a lines have I read, many a deep thought,
Seen nothing have I, but march on I cannot.

A glance at the mirror, disgraceful image greets,
Hollow eyes see I can, for what do they seek?

Relief, oh yes, that is sought, upon all else,
For nothing will provide any longer, e'rythings an empty shell.

At right I look, the blades I placed smile at me,
At left I see, ropes, dreams, nightmares laugh with glee.

Wish to use my right to cut my left, but no,
Coward I am, my master fear will not let me go.

Strange is it not, fear is my motif,
Only force to drive, only resistance to drop of the cliff.

Cowardice is all which sustains my daily life,
The day I find strength will my flesh meet the knife.
